I took these on the roof of our apartment (Koreans call it a "villa"). It's the effect of condensation and the centrifugal force caused by the spinning ventilation chute cover. You can see the icicle is tilted outward and doesn't fall straight down. It was at about 8.45 AM, after a night which saw the mercury drop about 6 degrees below zero (my guess). As we are on the top floor of the building, this blighter can be heard whirring and groaning in windy weather. I shot a video of this boring rooftop for other southern hemisphere types who know jack about these sorts of weather conditions.

It's just such a shame that Six Apart folks are so aggressively pushing the sign up drive. I kept hoping that sign up would not be required eventually.
In order to comment at VOX you must register. As a lot of people don't want to go through that hassle just to comment on a photo or post, I have upgraded our blog to wordpress. Of course, we will keep this one going and still visit vox to stay in touch with all voxers.
